RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted January 7, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 7, 2021 Coeur-de-Lion, but I have never known why this one always was my favourite. Anzac a close second.

It was addressed to you in your Eastwood persona. I've never forgotten going to see a Fistful of Dollars, and wondering what the hell is all this when Clint told the gunslingers that they had upset his mule. We soon found out.

69843
I'll split my vote between 70046 (ANZAC) for the obvious reason, and 70014 (Iron Duke). I wonder if a certain A3 will vote for 70022

Another vote here for Coeur-de-Lion (70007), great sounding romantic name. BR obviously had a penchant in naming locos after those who could loot and pillage with the best of them ...

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted January 7, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2021 So, for this poll it’s Lightning. A great name, and it reminds me of my nickname at school for being the fastest runner in cross country running. Rob.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted January 8, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted January 8, 2021 Start the day with an Ivatt engine. Our J3 brings a trip working along the Down slow. On the main, the Flying Scotsman appears, and meets an Ivatt which has come in from Kings Lynn.

RMweb Premium great northern Posted January 8, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 8, 2021 You do like your Britannias. Lots of votes, and 12 different nominations. There was a concerted effort by our upside down friends, but one of them hedged his bet, and gave two locos half a vote each. That means that Britannia herself with four votes, edges out Anzac with three and a half. Are there any really bad Brit names? I don't think so. We will therefore move on to best Deltic name.
