What follows is a step by step of how I did it, it is mentioned previously in this thread. Select the woodland scenic tree you want to work with. Bend, twist remove and move branches as needed. Next mix up your preferred plaster and apply to the tree, and let dry. It will look a bit rough at this point Then using a knife etc carve into the plaster to represent bark Brown paint was then applied and allowed to dry. This was then carved into again to make more bark. Various layers and shades of powders were then applied and sealed with dulcote. Tea time, more steps in few.... Cutting and pulling apart the pieces to make them fit Gradually work around the tree adding leaves, I put some more nicks in the paint for bark at this point too. Cut off the base, and plant.
