flesh tones, i tried eyes and mouth, but thy didnt work very well. even with my finest paint brush still looked like blobs. will experiment with other options, thought it might not be worth it

Just stumbled across this. Some more brilliant modelling. The hunt close couplers looks very good on the previous page, as do all the figures.

There are some brilliant photos as well, some of the most life like modelling I have seen. So many small life like details in every shot. Great stuff.

All the best,

Dave

This is areally nice model. I'm particularly impressed by the figures and your painting of them; they are often one of the parts least well done in N gauge, imho.

Thanks for posting the link a page or so back to the supplier!

I do enjoy operating trains. But since my large layout is complete, other than tweaks here and there, I've wanted to try new products, learn new skills and techniques. So, I started to make dioramas. Have enjoyed the photography side of the hobby, learning how to stage, take and process images. I have started to paint 3d printed figures enjoy this too, find in very relaxing and a surprising study in fashion and colour. I have wanted to build my own track for some time and combined with the desire to make a diorama featuring snow it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

An order was placed with British Finescale for a jig and concrete sleepered track. The difference between this and code 55 is remarkable.

Having assembled a test section i decided to try weathering the sleepers and chairs before assembly in the jig, makes an even bigger difference

I am really enjoying this track assembly, it's not fast but the end result is really good.
