All 6 painted in the base colours

Still some tweaking across the ridges, but based on previous experience with Colas livery on a 66, it'll be two or three goes with the masking tape and fine brush.

Cheers,

Mick

A request for help Mick, I'm after pics of NMT coach 975993 or 975994

I'm arranging my mk3 coaches ready to convert into NMT trailers and think I have a prototypical formation but I can't for the life of me find pics of either of those 2 coaches via google or Flickr etc

The reason I ask is I have a Lima TGS which looking through an old thread by 'hammy' he used one to make 975994 and I'm hoping it's useable or I'll have to get another open coach

The formation I'm looking at is powercar-977984-975993-975814-975994-975984-powercar

I also have a Hornby buffet car that only needs a repaint and window replacing with a grille to make the spare genny coach

Jim,

977993 and 977994 are the numbers you're looking for.

Ah, so the numbers on the etches are wrong then, they say 975XXX

Hopefully I can still make a prototypical rake up, 2 gen vans, test car 10 and 2 of whatever 977993 and 994 are!

977993 is the pantograph car..

977995 is also useful as a "stand-in". Easily made form one of the Hornby catering vehicles with one window altered.

Cheers,

Mick

The big orange project rumbles on.

Thanks to Steve at Railtec for the quick delivery of some slightly taller Colas Rail Freight branding.

The ribs swallow up quite a bit of the height. Not helped by the Lima and Hornby models having different depth ribs, meaning that the replacements had to come in two different sizes......

I've also made a start on the cantrail stripes with Replica Railways transfers.

Still lots to do including tidying up the black lines for the lower window panels. In the meantime, 47749 is catching back up after it was sidelined at the pale yellow stage after noticing that I hadn't filled in the bodyside footsteps.....

Still applying lost of decals to the 67s (and 60)

Whilst waiting for them to dry off a bit, I've carried on with another related project. Using my silhouette cutter, I've made these.

They are about 4mm x 3mm

And this is one in place.

Another evening of applying decals to the 67 project. Also made a start on the smaller painted details - lamp irons, MU connectors etc

Hopefully some pics tomorrow.

Even Colas themselves don't apply their Decals as well as you...

Much fine detail and touch up painting of the 67s, so nothing spectacular to show yet.

At least 47749 has caught up to the rest of the orange project.

Hopefully, pics in the next couple of days.

Cheers,

Mick

Nearly there.

A bit more touching up and final small decals to be added before reassembly with handrails, glazing etc.

For some reason, the photos seem to accentuate the grooved sides and angled lines.

Taken a bit longer than planned but quite looking forward to their public debut in a few weeks on Deadmans Lane.

Cheers,

Mick
