Need something to do with all those left-over bits from GBL models?   How about a UK version of this sculpture?

Perhaps for a location with a history of locomotive building.  I can just see something like it outside the Swindon retail park! :-)

G'Day Folks

The D11 is a goldmine of GC bit's, two locos have been converted (so far) one was converted into a B2, using a re-wheeled 'Jinty' chassis, the other was converted into a B8, but this time using a re-wheeled Wren R1 chassis. Each of the original loco's were cut and lengthened, both had there boilers replaced, but keeping there fire and smokeboxes.

Manna totally agree with your assessment of the usefulness of the GBL D11. I created this A5 from mine, Alan Gibson frames high level gears and motor.

Looks nice and chunky!

Funny you should say that, I've got a D11 body for just that purpose and a old Tri-ang Princess chassis for it, might be a year or two before it gets built.

Just to wrap up the C Class, as I suspected, the tender wheels wouldnt stay on the track, so I have replaced them. All runs well, but I need to get the tender height adjusted again to match the loco.

Looking at my stash of GBL, there is a V2, B12, K3, A3, 76xxx, and T9,  As Terry (manna) says, they will all be potential for spares, but I can't see me motorising any. If anyone has a use for any, they can PM me.

I was looking for a Kitmaster Duchess body in my spares and came across the streamlined "Coronation" body from GBLC. My friend had supplied me with 3 Tri-ang Princesses, all in various states, that he no longer needed. So, it would be rude not to.....
