  1. When the first Hornby 142s came out they were rubbish going over points one motor would stall then the other. Wiring the two together made a massive improvement
  2. Still the glen would be a very nice model for you to do if the jones goods sells well.
  3. I pre ordered the JOB crane yesterday and there was no deposit to pay.
  4. Dear Rapido. When you were 3D scanning the Jones goods, you may have seen all the other nice steam locos next to it in the riverside museum. Fingers crossed you scanned them as well. If not please go back with the scanner. In particular Glen Douglas would be very nice to have. Oh and there are a lot of nice Glasgow trams there if you could aim the scanner in their direction that would also be very welcome.
  5. Oooooh nice. That's a must have for me. Good to see some yellow plant being made. Hopefully it will sell well and a tamper will follow.
  6. Thanks. The driver would normally put the master switch into neutral when the train stopped. So my thought would be the headlight would go out automatically when the train stopped on the model.
  7. Maybe this has been asked previously apologies if it has. On the real thing the headlight turns off when the driver puts the master switch into the neutral position. It turns on again when the driver selects forward. Will the model replicate this? The photos look amazing very impressed with the cab took me back to the days when I worked on class 60s as a trainman.
  8. The RMB wouldn't be allowed to have any passengers on it at all. Some have suggested that the doors could be locked shut. But going by the rule book passengers would not be allowed to travel in that coach.
  9. Given WCR attitude to CDL and the twisting of the truth in thier press releases. Can we be certain that their trains are maintained to the correct standards? Can they be trusted at all?
  10. One thing I have noticed with the new trains is how quiet they are internally. With the old trains its impossible to hold a conversation while the train is on the move. On the new trains it was perfectly possible to talk to my wife. I was very impressed with them.
  11. Just a small note the Scotrail woosh was introduced before privatisation. And was kept by National Express when it took over.
  12. Newcastle, Glasgow Central, Waterloo.
  13. Walked past game today noticed they sell scaletrix not sure if that's a new thing or not
  14. To say its outwith thier control is an outright lie. It was within their control to fit CDL they just chose not to.
  15. Hard to tell from the photo but looks like the coal is squint. That may be a good thing if it means it is removable.
