allan downes
Is this model based on the forge at Malham, by any chance? It looks remarkably similar? John Hi John. That it looks like the forge at Malham is only coincidental as the one here is 100% freelance. Cheers. Allan.
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted December 1, 2013 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 1, 2013 Go on then, who can guess what these are going to be, they're made out of .9mm wire and are in the blu-tac for painting.
RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted December 1, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 1, 2013 Wheelbarrow handles? A very nice scene this! I like those wheels scattered about, simple but very effective.

Iain Popplewell
Looking real good now Paul. The Cleveland Bay hoss will deserve it's drink at the trough once it's shod. The water is very convincing, what did you use?
Shadow
I can see only three wheels though, what's the farrier going to put on the hosses other leg?
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted December 9, 2013 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 9, 2013 Looking real good now Paul. The Cleveland Bay hoss will deserve it's drink at the trough once it's shod. The water is very convincing, what did you use? I think it's a bit chunky to be a Bay. The water is gloss varnish over a greeny brown painted surface. A few more bits done last night, there is another pig to add, there's far too many mangolds for one to eat in there.

GWR00N
Just a tad worried about the pig in the stable, the smiffy isn't going to try and put shoes on it's feet is he? Which way is the door?
Iain Popplewell
Sorry to see that you didn't win the Downes challenge with this one Paul. For what it's worth I thought you're entry was the best.Perhaps your model had too much of a Paul Gallon flavour to it, and not enough of the Downes influence to it,I don't know.Excellent modelling Paul. I'd have given you the prize for the weathering of your pantiles alone, and the inquisitive pig was just brilliant!
cactustrain
Only just found this. Nice one Paul, this is a great piece of work with some lovely touches. I didn't guess they were pigs trotters either.
