Hi Ray

The rules for membership are

1, You must like watching toy trains running.

2, You must like making models.

3, You must like researching stuff about trains.

4, You must like seeing what others make.

5, You must accept that others have their own taste in music but will never be as good as your own.

6, there is no rule six.

7, You must have fun with your toy trains.

Like all sets of rules there is at least one amendment.

1st amendment, 10p in the swear box if you mention a certain railway, which cannot be mentioned in this amendment as it would cost me 10p .

Isn’t there now a law against that amendment under the Trainspotters Rights and Modellers  Equalities ( Copper capped chimneys ) Act 2017 ?

Shall I hide my GWR 150 stuff?

Even thought the TSOs are converted Triang with 14mm wheels and Replica TSO insides.

And of course B430.

My Late Ts will run behind either a Dapol D63xx or a Bachmann small prairie.

I came up up with seven simple rules and the rebels are out in force trying to change them. :rtfm: It is like being at a model railway club AGM discussing the constitution.

:punish:

Come on everyone we know rules are only written to be broken and do not apply to those who write them. OK Gibbo will be keeping a tally of the number times I mention the unmentionable and present me with a bill next time we meet, so I cannot get away with everything. :girldevil:

Looks like I need to make the lot apart from engines and battery boxes

Does the rules against the copper top things include the over grown sprinters they built?

The ones that could tow various trailers, and sometimes even freight.

But they even got that bit wrong with the fragile German engines.

It all depends how one interprets the rules or how awake Gibbo is when one mentions that railway which ran in Bandit Country.

Hi Chaps,

All that is requited is to develop one's vocabulary in a manner that does not obviate the need for pecuniary penalisation, you may most easily use terms such as:

  • Associated Equipment Company
  • Park Royal
  • Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon
  • Voith
  • Mekydro
  • Maybach
  • Bristol-Siddeley
  • Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg
  • North British
  • Beyer Peacock
  • Brown-Boveri
  • Metropolitan Vickers

You see, no mention of bandit country !

Gibbo.

Hi Paul

Please take pity on Martin, the lad doesn't know anything else. It wasn't his fault for being brought up in the wrong part of the country.

Hi Folks,

As much as the utterance of profanity is indeed frowned upon I for one wouldn't wish for this thread to end up like the sordid environs that the Wheeltappers section of RMweb.

We all know how they carry on there:

That said, if Clive were to collect some swear box monies he might be able to afford some paint as I fear he has spent all his pocket money on plasticard and glue.

Gibbo.

I thought stoneing was reserved for the P4/EM/SF debates whenever a certain person from the other side of the pond gets involved lol.

And no one is allowed  show Clive how to use the B&W on the pics he uploads just to hide the multi coloured chop shop effect.

I can see Martin will have to be issued with an exemption certificate or Gibbo will bankrupt him

Hi Paul,

Its Clive's swear box, the reason I indicate such profane discretions is that I have a severe aversion to THAT railway also.

As for the video, I'm not actually one of those Pharisee types more one of the bored looking ones in the background:
