westonman
Hi all Has anyone found a way to improve the interior lighting on Bachmann DMUs. I have found them to be quite dim and would like to make it brighter especially as i have just fitted some passengers and installed DCC decoders. Any help will be appreciated. Ravenser
The real things were extremely dim as well. I remember coming into Lincoln one night on a Cravens and seeing the cathedral floodlit high in the darkness outside - breathtaking. You couldn't see that with a Sprinter - the interior lights were far too bright For the authentic 25W bulb effect, stick a resistor in circuit
stewartingram
I improved mine by removing them, much more realistic. As with the external lights. Stewart
RMweb Gold DaveF Posted August 13, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 13, 2015 Remember too that when dmus were introduced interior lights were only turned on at night or in tunnels. I used to find it very hard to see to read when travelling in the first generation dmus at night with the original lights. David
Removed a/c
Lighting to me is just an unnecessary item and just adds ££s to the model.
