Indomitable026
and now offered up to the board. I think I'll drill the holes for hinges in the baseboard before I assemble the legs.

RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted July 10, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 10, 2016 If you're going to use the same folding diagonal as I put on TG then leave a 3-5 mm gap between the timber ends on the central hinge. This let's the diagonal drop off straight slightly. This prevents the diagonal folding up if the legs are kicked.

RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted July 10, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 10, 2016 I'm all excitable this morning. I've tried the new Forstner bit. Here's a picture showing the comparison to the spade bit. IMG_2068.jpg The improvement is very clear, a nice cleanly cut hole, that is flat at the bottom. Good call! Damian I shall be at the local ironmongers next time I am in Stone and order one for the club. How much was it ? Terry

Indomitable026
Board and legs now moved inside for further contemplation. I have to say I'm really very pleased with how this build has gone. I hope the pictures have been of interest on how I go about things. As I'm no expert I find the pausing to upload useful, it makes me stop and think - which compares favourably to my usual million-miles-an-hour approach. Is this an age thing?
