Tove
So, like a few others here i had a 'Reely Grate' time (apologies Mike, ) at Telford as well. Brought my self a few more wagon kit`s to add to the ever expanding pile, plus one of the Easy Build Bubble cars. Shawn and co were very helpful and answered all my question`s,even the stupid ones!!. But like most show`s, you always come away with an unplanned something or other.....in my case a nice white metal pannier body with all the details, which was on the guild bring and buy,and which had just been reduced before i got there.... Anyhow a few pic`s of my favorite buildings and such on some of the layouts. Apologies as there not great photo`s,but i hope you get an flavor!. And last but not least....Reely Grate, I had really good chat and laugh with Mike, and it was nice to see him and his small layout in person as well. Thanks Mike. Cheers, Brian. HSB
Railwayrod and I have just got back after a very enjoyable weekend having parted with several hundred quid between us! It was nice to meet and chat with a few familiar names from RMWeb we have previously exchanged comments with. Several excellent layouts there and Heyside certainly lived up to my expectations. Roll on next year's GuildEx which will mark GOG's 60th anniverary.
MarcD
Just got back ourselves. It has been hard work getting through the last few weeks but very worth it. Good to see faces new and old through out the weekend. This year was our 20th show and 12th as a trader and I have to say probably one of the best telford's yet. looking forward to next years 60th. RMweb Premium jamie92208 Posted September 7, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2015 I spent the weekend working on the Bring and Buy which was absolutely manic for most of Saturday but more civilised on Sunday and didn't get a real chance to get round the whole show. However I was surprised by how many diesels appeared on the stall. Good prices were being paid for Heljan 47's. I thought that it was a very good show. As had been mentioned above it is mainly a trade show where there are some layouts. The reason the Guild was established was to maintain a manufacturing base for the hobby and in this it has succeeded. Certainly there appeared to be plenty of modern image models on display and some impressive displays of new manufacturing technology in use on many of the stands. Mike
Reely Grate weekend met up and chatted with several RMwebbers so thanks to all that came by. Journey home was dire with almost an hour spent crawling along the M6, but still home with a large Gin and Tonic by 17.30. My only purchase was an apron, no, not for domestic duties but, for the workshop as I have ruined too many items of clothing from stray flux etc.
railwayrod
This years Telford was a great show and anyone who did not attend because of a lack of "modern image" layout missed a treat. There were plenty of diesels on display and more than one layout with early diesels performing. Some fine layouts too. It was also nice to meet with some fellow RMwebbers and to chat with several people who have only been names up toll then. Roll on next years show - I will be attending! asa
Mike it was a pleasure to meet you and be able to see Reely Grate in the flesh. I thought all the layouts were outstanding this year. It was really good to meet some new faces and catch up with some friends again. Roll on next year. Alistair
Kenton
You don't have to wait till next year as there is Reading in between (which I prefer to Telford as it is easier to get to, for me) Any more photos for those who missed it?

Andrew Young
Having been on holiday driving steam locos in Wales for the week following Guildex, I'm a bit late uploading a selection of photos I took, albeit only on my phone. Afraid I couldn't get close enough to Heyside to take any photos. Usually I prefer my modelling to be of more obscure prototypes, but a cracking layout from what I could see with some superb modelling. Having wandered in the place, I very quickly came across the Minerva stand and drooled over the Pecketts. Soon cut short Chris Bastion's sales pitch by letting on I've already got one on order from EDM. Soon after I came across the Dapol stand, took a photo of the BR livery sample, but it was the Bodiam sample that's weakening my resolve into buying one.... Layouts wise, one I'd not seen before was The Summit, some great scenery and the working signalling impressed me. Was 'reely grate' to see Reely Grate, not having seen it before. Amazing what you can do in such a small space. Hospital Gates is a perennial favourite and had a rather nice Fowler on it. I also spent ages watching the goings on at Assenby St Peter and gave me a few ideas to come away with. Finally, was Selsey Town, having a part completed Selsey Carriage on my workbench, was good to see a train of these running on the layout. Cheers, Andrew
