Waverley47708
Tonight at 2100 on BBC Alba. Highland Railway "Transport enthusiast Alasdair MacCalum embarks on a special journey of discovery on the Highland Railway as he tells the story of this famous and unique network as it marks its 150th anniversary" For those not familiar with BBC Alba, it is mainly a Gaelic channel most programs are either in Gaelic with subtitles or are in English. They do a lot of interesting documentary programs and you should be able to access somehow on the web if not on Sky channel 143. Tomorrow on STV at 1930. Emergency Trains vs Weather. Saw the latter last week on ITV Central. Well worth watching if you can, lots of action North of Perth.
wombatofludham
Both programmes were good, the Highland Railway programme seemed to be a bit scattergun but some fabulous footage (OK, not all of which was accurate...) but it came across as generally positive and optimistic. Worth catching it on BBC iPlayer if you didn't record it on dustbin lid TV.
RMweb Premium ColinK Posted December 8, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 8, 2015 They could have made another film up north this week. Flooding, landslides, debris on the track, power cuts etc....
