I had the pleasure of running a day at the Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire with visiting GWR 56xx 5619

My thanks to all at the railway for putting on a superb day despite the weather conditions and the participants for their excellent company

We were very fortunate in that an overnight fall of snow transformed the Churnet Valley into a winter wonderland

Many thanks Dan . On Thursday the forecast was gold medallions , by that evening Metcheck went into depression mode and forecast a day of rain and sleet . This seemed then to come in early and it snowed overnight . Stone which is 10-15 miles south had very little so we were very very lucky !

Very nice.  Does anyone know if it is still fitted with a small ejector? - I should explain that the 15xx, 56 and 66xx tanks are noted as having been fitted with a small ejector for shunting. The 56 and 66xx's were fitted with a pump, whereas of course the 15xx never was.
