muddys-blues
Hello just a simple question, I am modelling a GWR Pagoda hut in 7mm, does anyone have any pictures or information about any seating arrangements if any inside these basic shelters ? Many thanks in advance Craig.

RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted February 5, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2016 I'm only guessing but I would have thought any of these on platforms would have had seats . There's one on Northwood Halt on the SVR but I don't have a photo unfortunately.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted February 5, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2016 I too recall seeing a picture with a bench seat inside. But it was just a plain timber bench not the variety with cast ends. Of course some pagodas were used as sheds rather than waiting shelters and would not have had benches but had doors. muddys-blues
Do any of you Gents or Ladies know if some of these pagodas made it into the 1980's in BR service ? Best regards Craig.
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted February 5, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 5, 2016 Answer to the question - sometimes. Built in wooden seat with I think in some cases a wooden back as well - set at a slight angle to the vertical - and no seat cushion of any sort. Best regards Craig. I recall there being some on the West Ealing-Greenford line. Certainly in the 70s and I think more recently than that.

PenrithBeacon
There is one now at Denham Golf Course Station. It has seats inside but whether it had them in steam days I couldn't say. There is at least one on the WSR which has a GWR bench inside.
