VTEC 43307 stands next to 390104 'Alstom Pendolino' at Carlisle on 5/12/15. For those of you who don't know, this was when cumbria was battered by Storm Desmond which further south didn't seem too bad so a trip was made. However, our pendolino didn't end up doing very well. In fact, we reached Carlisle 271 late and then couldn't get back as the rail replacement busses weren't running as the weather was that bad. So, seen as we w ere stuck some photography took place. Swifty11 Posted June 5, 2016 Author Share Posted June 5, 2016 Now to a shot thats far from perfect, 37425 'Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob' idles through Moore with 57312 'Solway Princess' and part of a cumbrian coast set in tow on 5Z59 Crewe C.S to Carlisle Kingmoor, around 38 minutes late. However, much to my dismay, they were pathed to go via the ECML and down through the midlands. But, the traction was ROGs newsy acquired class 47s, so I couldn't really say no to that.
