Boris
It'd be quite nice if it were something that us mere mortals without a huge budget or a huge space could participate in.

RMweb Premium Kris Posted August 8, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 8, 2016 Take a Ratio / scalesceens kit and bash it into something else, a set kit for N, OO and O?

RMweb Premium ColinK Posted August 8, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 8, 2016 I think that whatever the challenge is, it needs to be, A) To make something that is useful to the builder. B) Something that requires actual modelling. C) Something that everyone can do. D) is capable of being judged. Hence I agree that 'make a waggon' is a good idea. i would also be happy with 'make a building'. Judging might be tricky, but surely the point of the exercise is to take part, rather than win. There could be seperate categories for scratchbuilt, kit built and modified rtr/rtp.
Boris
I agree, you could narrow the parameters further by making it a box van or an open wagon so they can be judged/compared.
RMweb Gold Brinkly Posted August 9, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 9, 2016 The ultimate challenge would be to stay away from the Forum.... It does have certain addictive qualities! However, as a reference point it is great and totally unbeatable for the amount of collective knowledge. Re challenge, something simple would be good. Wagon would get my vote.
