Fat Controller
thanks, what about the 2 at the rear of the crabs train, im thinking banana vans now? They've certainly got the centre door fitting which most/all banana vans seemed to have.
cctransuk
It is long overdue for the publishers to do a new edition/reprint and make some money for themselves. A revision / reprint has already been announced as being in progress. Regards, John Isherwood.

County of Yorkshire
Just found this thread through the search facility and wanted to bump it... I bought a Parkside Mica kit from the Doncaster Show last weekend, which I wish to complete in 1945-1948 condition. I have read through this thread and cannot seem to find a conclusive answer: did any of these receive GWR freight grey with the 5'' GW lettering? In addition, does anyone have, or indeed know of any pictures of a Mica or Tevan during the aforementioned period? Cheers, CoY
Kenton
Check my earlier post 4 The original MICA (no code letter) may well have survived in GW grey (their original livery) into pre-BR days when they were painted Bauxite. I think it is difficult to be conclusive without seeking out wagon refurb details just as it is not conclusive they they were all painted Bauxite or indeed when. It would probably be correct to accept that the MICA (no code letter) vans may even have never been painted white. (reserved for MICA A and MICA B. Remember the term MICA is not a diagram code but a telegraph code used to indicate the cool/chilled/refrigerated nature of the load carried. But there is always Modeller's licence
