No Decorum
That’s interesting. The upper shell is of the more rounded variant, which Dapol is making some progress with. It’s 00, with a hint that 0 and N versions might be considered sometime. I seem to recall that some time ago, Dapol intended to produce the sharp-edged version too but, unless it has slipped my memory, not the single cab version depicted by the lower shell. Tantalising! BR(S)
What about the 325 in the background...? Just about to ask the same question!
No Decorum
Even more tantalising!
RMweb Premium steam-driven boy Posted October 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2016 Hi, If N then the railcars could be the ones available from BH Enterprises or Shapeways and the Class 325 from N-Train in association with Electra Railway Graphics - since it's from the MRC's facebook page maybe someone 'borrowed' a Dapol display unit? Regards, Gerry.
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted October 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2016 That would make sense. The railcar at the front is clearly 3D printed, and the 325 looks like it could be WSF. Odd finish for anything from a 'mainstream' manufacturer.
woodenhead
But it does appear it was taken at Dapol - did they have other companies at their open day, the image is tagged as being at Dapol.
woodenhead
It's not up to Hornby's standard of tantalising images but if Dapol want to play that game too then a 325 and a flurry of railcars will be very welcome in N (says the man who's just purchased 2 Southern steam engines in OO). alibuchan
Just to clarify these pics This was part of a members models collection at the recent Dapol Club open day, to display what was available as 3D printed models there was a BHE GWR railcar, an N train 325, and a PHD 323, among others. The stand was 'borrowed' to enable more models to be shown, these aren't part of Dapols plans that we are aware of. Alistair
No Decorum
Thank you for that. I’ll make a mug of tea and calm down again.
