I don't know. I've just found this hopper on the group named: "American O-Scale in the UK". A guy was selling two hoppers and told us if anybody want them...

I believe it's run by Jasond of this Parish. I just don't do Facebook at all (partly as I don't want my lad on it, so have to lead by example) so I am not part of it.

Hello Willy

Yes I'm glad to find you here and to have this wagon. It's very nice and detailed. A very fine kit.

I've began to build it today.

I would like to weather it during the building because after he will be finished some locations will be difficult to reach.

So let's get this straight - you're an hour ahead of us every day, so that's why you've built this darn thing already.  Let's all move to France!!

Jordan - the American O-sca... Fb group is a closed group, so good relevant stuff.  OK, it's not bullet-proof, but the joys of parenthood and all that.  It's when you ask the grandkids and they tell you the answer to the question you didn't appreciate that you'd asked   Anyway isn't there a way of getting posts to Facebook groups sent to you as email?  I'll ask the grandkids.

More work on the hopper today... I started to weather the model.

My improvised workbench for this morning: a camping metal table setted in front of the kitchen doors. The location is good for the light.

More work...

Some tape to protect the outside of the hopper.

The "before and after" situation. I used an automobile primer to spray the hopper.

And below the hopper is weathered (the black paint isn't yet dry).

A repaired air hose with a piece of electric wire. The Intermountain plastic is fragile.

Chalk marks are added later.

Thank you Daniel!

I just use correction paper for typewriters. I write with a 0.35 mm pen.

I've learnt that technic in the french magazine Loco-Revue in 1984. It always works from this time!

So, you hold the correction paper over the side of the car and just write on the back with a regular pen?

I'm not familiar with how the correction paper works :D

You'll be asking what a Typewriter is, next... :mosking:

Must admit, I'd be asking if typewriter correction paper is still available..!! :scratchhead:  :dontknow:

Exactly. And you write on the plastic side. I use a very fine pen or a pin.

Yes, it's possible to find correction paper on ebay. Now it's more expensive than there is 30 years ago...  It's a "collector". :mosking:

Thank you Vanrouge and Willy!

Vanrouge: I use my own method (adapted from what I've watched). I find mine practical for me but it is not the best to follow. I think anybody must do "as he wishes" and "as he can do".

It exists many ways to weather your cars.

Next step: I would like to make the loads of coal for the two cars.

I used thick cardboard (2 mm thick) for the base and a thin one to make the piles of coal.
