Horsetan
Hmm, looks like it may be static condition only. Trying to have it recommissioned could be interesting. Crowdfunding, anybody?

EddieB
Currently on display at Spatzenpark ("Sparrow Park") in Herrnreid, Bavaria - closest big city is Regensberg.  Apparently it is/was owned by the DB Museum, so very strange to see it being flogged on eBay.  It is one of a pair of E03s (the other being 103 197-0) - see here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Spatzenpark/@49.0999327,11.7150869,83m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x479f9f599ca377d7:0xb6ce74692d637185!8m2!3d49.1004136!4d11.7201299?hl=en  (If you then go East, you'll see another item - thought to be railbus 998 090-5). Taigatrommel
That reminds me of visiting the Bentheimer Eisenbahn workshops recently.  Gathering moss was an NS 1600, bought for spares.  Our guide said "It was a real bargain, only €500,000". Horsetan
Yes, if you thought that Hornby/Bachmann/Heljan prices are eye-watering, try the real thing  (FYI: a Siemens Vectron is priced between 3 and 5 million euro's, depending on version and spec's. It's regarded as an entry model. I expect sibling Taurus (also developed from the original EuroSprinter loco) to be 11 million and above ) You've tried buying one, then
