Ploughing engine days are numbered in 1938. Tractors numbers on the increase?

But there were still a number of Steam ploughing contractors active into the 1960s - albeit some of the engines had been converted from steam to diesel. I remeber seeing a number of sets working (both steam and diesel) when in my teens - late 1960s - and then there was the Allens of Oxford sale which I remember wishing I could go.

Glad it’s not snowing in Little Muddle this morning. Wouldn’t want to be on that footplate this morning in Wales

Have you ever read Red for Danger... the wreak of The Flying Scotsman at ABbots Rippon in a blizzard...

I suspect the prize cattle in the beetle are getting fed up with the smell of fish from the bloater, it gets stronger every day !

Yes but they have a beef about everything.

Not had crocodile so I can't offer a personal opinion as to how it tastes or cooks for that matter. Does it taste like chicken? In which case I'll have a bit of breast please.

Apparently it does, but with a texture more like Tuna...

I've eaten it at a restaurant in Australia.. kind of a bit like chicken but I found it very rubbery... once was enough for me... Ironically, Australia is the only country in the world that cooks and eats the two animals on the national crest!

We know it’s pigeons next but it seems the LNER didn’t have a code name for their van. I’d rather eat pigeon than crocodile though -and the fish is definitely off.
