I can confirm no writing on the handle….

Even I can’t be bothered to do that especially if I did it would be on the underside…….I expect?

If this umbrella ever tends to roam, smack it's bum and send it home.

It would appear that someone is 'pushing the envelope' where ownership of the umbrella is concerned.

Also from Amazon site  I got these two books secondhand.

Bit late to the party as they where first published 20 odd years ago but they have a wealth of unusual pictures and information.

Also a chapter on the weed killers….!

Glad I tracked these down, should have got them years ago.

They're very handy books to have if you're modelling a GWR line and they're not expensive either. Highly recommended!

PS. Love the UD tanks and the Ratio brake third. In my experience, broken steps and droopy buffers are mandatory on secondhand examples, though as you probably found, easy to fix.

Does that maker @KNP an internet influencer? (Does RMweb count as social media?)

Absolutely not I hope. We don't need railway modellers taking selfies with orange faces and Botox fish lips.

There's a mental image that could take years of therapy to erase!

Although a certain magazine posted a series of pictures from Warley of the good, the bad and the time-wearied; holding and displaying said magazine in its full frontal glory - all that was missing was the powder pink bi/man kinis, a tray of sand to stand in, and a tropical island backscene.

Don't go giving them ideas.  The trauma induced by the sight probably wouldn't have worn off by the following year's show.
