KNP
Bunker lamps fitted to Panniers. Had to drill out the base of the Modelu lamps, luckily only two of them, as the hole had been partly filled. Rest OK though Three more packets of lamps ordered as well...need some spare lamp irons on the footplate, looks like 3 to the RH of the storage box required. I have a few left so will be using them in the important areas first, mostly front ends. Need to get some more!! Surprising how many you use on a loco... Usually 10, 4 front and rear and 2 spare.

I suspect these lamps will never move as this train will always be in this configuration. They'll have to swap them round to show a red light on the rear and white on the front for the trip back to Encome Town of course.

KNP
You take a group of pictures of one set piece, namely King Stephen heading through Encombe Town with the express towards Bristol Try a few different angles to see which you like best. Then edit them only to find you can't actually decided which one you like the best..... Answer. Post the lot and let you lot see which one you prefer. Wish I could get the coaches to line, no matter what I tried the third one always look at odds with the others. Now have 5 Collet coaches - 2 Brake 3rd (L&R), 2 Composite (L&R) and a Third - new ones are at the end and are straight out the box. Mulgabill
My vote is for number 2.
RMweb Gold Harlequin Posted July 29, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 29, 2019 My vote is for image #4 because of the lower eyeline and the clearer outline of the loco.
RMweb Premium Bill37 Posted July 29, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 29, 2019 My choice is #4, a nicely composed image. Bill.
RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted July 29, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 29, 2019 Number 4 for me. Good close up of front of loco and signals visible in the distance.
RMweb Gold Anotheran Posted July 30, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 30, 2019 Number 4 for me because of the low angle. But I must say that number 1 did appeal as I liked the signal just appearing over the top of the loco!
gismorail
I'll go for number one, like number 4 the lower angle does give the locomotive a real sense of 'dominance' one can almost hear and smell the living beast as it pauses on it's journey

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted July 30, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 30, 2019 Or for them simply to propel, with both men on the loco footplate... Another issue with auto headlamps is that on some branches, authorised in the relevant Sectional Appendix, the loco headlamp could be displayed on the central buffer beam bracket.

Better than all the others, in my opinion. 1
