bingley hall
A couple more 'Westerns'.......... An unidentified Class 52 (though probably 1027 'Western Lancer') heads through Ealing Broadway with an up freight sometime during 1974. On 5 March 2013, 43192 leads a First Great Western's formation towards Paddington - the westbound Theale-Robeston empty tanks can be seen in the distance. This was only a couple of weeks before the PS at Didcot closed. Edited September 28, 2017 by bingley hall

leopardml2341
And....... Looking forward a bit further (I think it'll be the weekend and I'll likely be away from RMWeb) when the primary compass points are done - how about a day of 'general' and/or 'odd' suffixes to location names: Ones that spring to mind are e.g. Oldham, with 'Mumps' and 'Werneth'? bingley hall
A pretty grim scene at Hellifield back in August 1983. What looks like a Morecambe to Leeds DMU pauses for non existent bsuienss while a Class 40 bustles away in the background. You can just make out the initials MR in the ironwork. The station has been spruced up considerably with a now operating Buffet - however the sidings being shunted are these days seriously overgrown.
