Guest
The B12 is in steam this weekend, so that would make ideal traction for the set. The 4MT is also in steam and, on Sunday only, visiting Peak 45133 will be taking a turn, so something for the diesel fans too. Now comes a bit of a moan (sorry)... last time I travelled, "feet on seats" was commonplace and parents were letting their toddlers jump up and down all over the seat cushions. I know this is hard to police, but I do hope a bit of respect is shown for the hard work in getting this set back into service.

Steamport Southport
Looking good. Even the Aussie ones. The B12 is in steam this weekend, so that would make ideal traction for the set. People have been a bit more civilised when I've travelled on the ones in North Wales. Any gala that they are running at it's always one of my priorities to try and get a ride in them. OOgaugeJaf
Look excellent, well done to all concerned. There is one looking really rough at York. I'm sure with them being in the mood for handing over items the NNR could get another one for the rake

Fenman
And I believe are for sale again by the Epping Onger Railway.... Andy G Excellent! I'm assuming all those snarkily criticising the NNR for running an unprototypical rake will now be writing a big cheque, to enable them to buy and restore these coaches? Best to keep an eye on the NNR website which is quite well updated. They usually say when the quad arts are running.
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted April 16, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 16, 2017 Looking carefully at the end of the Brake Third it looks as if at some stage in its' life was fitted with a very big cat flap! Or they accelerated a bit hard with a large crate in the guard's compartment.
RMweb Gold russ p Posted April 16, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 16, 2017 It was converted into a generator car for the Pullman set in the early 90s and the radiator grille was on the end. The lads that have restored it have done a cracking job.

If I had a big cheque then I would be writing it so that Llangollen could have a bigger set. Jason
Zomboid
I wouldn't have known/cared that it wasn't representative without reading this thread. To be fair, I still don't care. It captures a feel that a regular mk1 set can't.

On the block Allan
Nice photos, had to look twice to see if they were models or 12 inches to the foot. The BR Mk1s with B1 bogies as a norm had a max speed of 90 M.P.H. anyone know if this also applied to the suburban Mk1s? Allan
