Now the station alterations are finished, I’m going to be making  alterations to the other end of the layout.

End of the line. But not for much longer, the buffer stop has already been removed and this was reused on the new station track.  Plans for the next board are underway.
A single line to a traverser is the plan. Also the road will be altered and the sharp bend (which I’ve never been happy with) will be a T junction. More grotty flats and other buildings are planned for the next board, so lots more work to do on Drabford.

I love the way if continues to evolve .

Keep going and you'll be running full length HSTs soon !

I would love to be able to run full length HSTs , original blue livery of course.
But in the meantime I’m looking forward to seeing DMUs squealing round these new curves .

A rare visit with a class 50 on the new running line, while the 128 parcels unit rests in the siding.

The sounds are superb.  I like the way the new curve will also give a reason for a slow exit to or entry from the fiddle-yard (and the new traverser will add so much to layout operation in terms of 'moves') 👍🏻

Definitely needed to upgrade with the fiddle yard now I’m getting more stock chipped. As for operation, it will be so much better with two running lines from Drabford.

Looking great!

Now you will have to rewrite your movement sequence. Will it be large fiddle yard to station to small fiddle yard? Or will they be independent?

Or different Peak vs Off Peak as at Bourne End?

Paul.

Check rail added to the tight curve running line, and the buffer stop fitted to the now extended kick back siding.

Working on the road bridge at the moment, will be adding some retaining walls. The 3 fiddle yard tracks have also been extended and will be hidden underneath the new landscape.

The new extension board is taking shape now.
I have painted the rail sides, and started planning how the landscape will be. I’ve added the scenery formers to the baseboard edges. Now construction of the outer retaining walls begin.
