Scooby71
Station canopy all completed with paint and glazing added. A new Drabford station sign also added. The vandals have been smashing the skylight windows. 15
Psiborg
It looks appropriately cluttered. I like the new station sign as well. Nicely done Shaun 👍🏻 Simon 1 3
Scooby71
Now the station alterations are finished, I’m going to be making alterations to the other end of the layout. End of the line. But not for much longer, the buffer stop has already been removed and this was reused on the new station track. Plans for the next board are underway. A single line to a traverser is the plan. Also the road will be altered and the sharp bend (which I’ve never been happy with) will be a T junction. More grotty flats and other buildings are planned for the next board, so lots more work to do on Drabford. 14 1
Scooby71
Before the modification starts And now the point of no return with the end board removed. The new board, work in progress, will be adding the legs this weekend.
Heinz57
Great stuff Shaun! The station modification looks awesome, like it was always there. Looking forward to seeing the extension progress... 2

I would love to be able to run full length HSTs , original blue livery of course. But in the meantime I’m looking forward to seeing DMUs squealing round these new curves .
Scooby71
Making tracks to the fiddle yard 5 track sliding traverser nearly ready. A few feed wires to add and some sides to the traverser. Will be having a testing session tonight.

Scooby71
A few pictures of running session with some guest stock on Drabford . A rare visit with a class 50 on the new running line, while the 128 parcels unit rests in the siding.

Psiborg
The sounds are superb. I like the way the new curve will also give a reason for a slow exit to or entry from the fiddle-yard (and the new traverser will add so much to layout operation in terms of 'moves') 👍🏻 Simon

As for operation, it will be so much better with two running lines from Drabford. 1
muddy water
Looking great! Now you will have to rewrite your movement sequence. Will it be large fiddle yard to station to small fiddle yard? Or will they be independent?

Scooby71
Check rail added to the tight curve running line, and the buffer stop fitted to the now extended kick back siding. Working on the road bridge at the moment, will be adding some retaining walls. The 3 fiddle yard tracks have also been extended and will be hidden underneath the new landscape.
Scooby71
11.9.22 The new extension board is taking shape now. I have painted the rail sides, and started planning how the landscape will be. I’ve added the scenery formers to the baseboard edges. Now construction of the outer retaining walls begin. Drabford will be attending the Nottingham Model Railway Society’s Autumn show. Sat 12th & Sunday 13th November 2022. St. John’s Church Hall Nottingham Road Hucknall NG15 7QN .
