Scooby71
1.10.22 A busy few days on the extension board. Filled the landscape with polystyrene and supports in place for the new road etc . I have decided to replace the high street road as it was damaged and the board used was flimsy. So now was a good time to replace because the road surface will need matching up with the new board. New road in place and onto the new extension I used an old sheet of MDF with the paint splats on. Now there’s plenty of space on the corner raised area for some new buildings that I will be constructing in a few weeks. Backscene boards added and the polystyrene landscape covered with strips of an old yellow pages, PVA glued on. View from the sliding traverser, showing access to the underneath storage tracks. Cheers Shaun. 10
Scooby71
2.10.22 Road works at Drabford. A little more progress tonight with the backscene undercoated and some brown emulsion on the landscape. The footpaths re used on the high street but new ones being shaped for the extension. Drabford will be attending the Nottingham show, with the new extension in operation. Edited October 2, 2022 by Scooby71

Just got to fit some girders under the road bridge, but that’s all for tonight. Shaun.

Scooby71
Glued some hanging basket liner to the front landscape yesterday. And now with the greenery done I thought I’d get that Pacer flange squealing photo. 7

I grew up close to New Pudsey station during the 70s and 80s and used to travel into Bradford Interchange regularly; when the then new Class 141s first appeared I couldn't believe the almost unbearable noise that the wheels made as they went around the curve near St. Dunstans ... it's never left me to this day ! Loving the work on the extension. Regards, Ian.

Scooby71
Work begins on the high street extension with a lot of alterations needed where the old backscene end board used to be. A new pub, old Victorian factory and an old cinema building are under construction at the moment. “The Plaza” Cinema building which will be a Bingo social club. “Drabford Inn” pub. Adding windows with micro strip. 11

Scooby71
A round to it, I finally got round to doing the starter signal for the platform that was added around May time. I have used the “Berko” square head signals. Cheers Shaun. Edited November 9, 2022 by Scooby71
Scooby71
Victorian factory building nearly completed, using Slater’s plasticard. And more progress with the “Drabford Inn” pub. Next is the “Plaza” cinema building. I’ve changed the design of this several times. This was originally planned to go in the corner where the Victorian factory is now, but a few new ideas on the frontage design meant it being moved. 8
