Tim Chambers
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Antonio Carluccio has died at the age of 80. He was known for the Italian restaurant chain that carries his surname and for appearing on TV programmes. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-41920229 How very sad-coincidentally we're just watching(at supper time!) his lovely telly series with Genaro Contaldo. Always appeared to be a real "character" with a gentle sense of humour. RIP.

Fat Controller
I had the pleasure of meeting him twice; The first time was around this time of year in 1995, when i was a crew-member on the Shuttle; I belatedly realised who it was as I gave out parking instructions. The second time was when shopping for Christmas presents at his shop in Neal Street; I was asking about 'truffle oil', but he only heard the first word and rushed off to the safe... There is a railway connection, as his father worked for FS, and he was brought up at a railway station in the Aosta Valley
