Preparations are going well and according to plan.

The souvenir show guide this year is going to have 48 pages, well worth the £1 purchase price.

We are entering the final countdown to the show now....

We are pleased to say this will be Accurascale's first UK show.

We are really looking forward to it too! We will be there with our good friends Model Railway Baseboards and be on hand to answer any questions and will have HUOs with us for sale across the weekend. I cannot say for certain just yet, but we may have a new model announcement at the show too!

Look forward to seeing you there!

All set and ready to go! 5 days to set up. Overlord will be displayed in its largest format, packed with detail and interest for railway and military/naval enthusiasts alike. Lots of other layouts, demonstrators, societies with extensive trade present. Hope you can all come along and enjoy the show.

For those arriving by train and not overly familiar with Perth, best advice is not to leave via the main entrance / exit, rather leave via "the ramp" between Platforms 4 and 7.  Up the ramp left on Glasgow road then left on to the walkway which takes you to the Dewars Centre.

Just a quick note to advise that Phoenix paints have had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.

Anyone with orders arranged to collect will be able to collect them from the Plus Daughters stand.

Regards,

Stan

That is unfortunate.  I have a shopping list for paint.

DT

Had a quick look through the list of traders.

Squires who will be in their usual spot always bring a wide range of paints.  Pretty sure others will have stocks of paint Eileen's Emporium and possibly Harburn Hobbies.  Possibly Footplate and others.

Hope you will get what you are looking for.

Harburns do keep limited stocks of Precision paint. Might be a good idea to phone them and ask what they can supply.

Another day another map.

Important info for traders / exhibitors who are heading South on the A9 (between Perth and Stirling) on Friday evening after 1930.

The A9 will be closed Southbound between 1930 on Friday evening and early Saturday morning just beyond Broxden Roundabout (the one with the grouse sculpture rising from the trees). The diversion is via the A85 - Methven, Crieff, and Muthill! That is a bit of a long way round to divert round a relatively short closed section immediately South of Broxden Roundabout.

Last night I used a much shorter diversion which is shown below. Head up the A92, Glasgow Road, about half way between Dewars and Broxden take a left just past the Cherrybank Inn onto B9112, Necessity Brae (funnily enough Necessity Brae is after Needless Road!) The road takes you past Aviva and under the M90, follow the road until you come to the junction next to the bridge over the River Earn. At that point head back up the hill (B934) sign posted A9 Auchterarder and this will bring you onto the A9.

NB the good news is that it will not be closed Northbound on Friday night and once reopened early Saturday morning there will be no road closures over the weekend itself.
