It's a shame this site has been ruined, I enjoyed writing and sharing my progress with you guys, but I have to say it has now become a chore!!!!

Looking fine Peter. Are you painting the body?

Can't wait to get my hands on mine in July. Whether I start it or not is a different story.

As you say posting here is now a pain, 3 or 4 photos a post is not good for people who actually make models.  I mostly post on WT now.

I have now fitted all the pressure pipes front and rear, together with the lamp irons (Laurie Griffin) and the pipes to the front push-pull reservoir. 

The reservoir pipes are soldered to the underside but will not be soldered to the reservoir. I'm relying on the springing of said pipes to hold them in position, thus allowing me to remove the chassis.

 

 

Just need to do a bit of cleaning up.

 

Thanks to Western Star and Ray for the info on the gauge dials. As Dave pointed out, nil stock from CPL and they wont have any until later this year, so I got some from Springside. Not brilliant but I think I can work with them.

 

Finally, does anyone know when these two hand brake style drain cock levers were fitted? and the other one to the side, what does that do?

 

Looking at the label the one on the far side are the drain cocks, which would have been fitted from building. As for the ones on this side could they be the fore and aft sander levers?

Oh yes to the painting. The thought of someone else being involved in MY model, well it's no longer YOUR model is it?

All my models are completed my me from start to finish.

I too will be going onto WT, as I said, it's a great shame this site has been ruined!!!!

When you get your M7 I do have a couple of the books recommended in the instructions (to be honest they weren't that helpful) would be happy to scan pages of interest and forward onto you.

I have already made my mind up and will be modelling all of the levers, you have just reinforced my decision, so thank you. The sanders make sense too.
