I hadn't noticed till I read this thread but as they say "you can't un see what you have seen" and am mulling over if I do anything about my 08 so the photos would help. Thanks these are all I can find. basically all I painted was the addition thickness on the black using the thin Tamiya masking tape laid on along the top of black stripe above and it leaves a small strip on the bottom of the yellow below after that was done I then brushed in over the black and yellow to even up the finish and deal with any bleed Edited February 21, 2023 by 47606odin 1
37114
Thanks Ian, that is very helpful, I was wondering how to get the neat angle for the Chevrons and never considered doing the job in 2 parts.
47606odin
@37114 And finished. Both slightly different, but basically brushed in to tidy it all up on the edges and a decent Humbrol yellow over the Dapol yellow

47606odin
That was fiddly! Bufferstop beams. although fiddly, I have really enjoyed the bufferstops project, and am now wondering why I put it off for so long 1

47606odin
Well, one of the 2 jobs I forgot before I start the roof, ticked off. All the lights are now hard wired in properly and work.
47606odin
Happy with that. Lightened the tone on the water tank and added the vent pipe down the wall with the offset to clear the overhang and ladder. You can just see the end of the single plank walkway. I’ll look at fitting the walkway hand rail, and then the ladder tomorrow hopefully

Brilliant bargain, also followed your lead getting some bits from West Hill 👍 yes guys, was it really a bargain or does it show my weak will? I didn’t need it, but because it was cheap I broke my own rules lol. They reeled me in (and it means less holiday spending money) never mind. Hopefully it arrives in one piece. I also ordered the special edition Graham Farish N gauge class 60 in GBRF livery. I suspect it won’t have any issues in the post arriving broken. A consideration for the future maybe
