Have you come across this? Has 2 spreads on Hither Green including one snap inside the shed with a bright red motorbike parked by the notice boards with 33021 in grey and 60019 in 1992.

no I haven’t, however I have seen the photo with the red bike on Flickr. I’d like to know what bike it is to see if I can get one

The unit has arrived for road learning trips next week. It’ll head back to Tonbridge once it’s had a service check

I wonder how did TOPS accommodate that running number alongside the Deltic with the same? Will take a look online…

Are units technically coaches for numbering purposes? The W differentiates them.

I think that may have ended up the case:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coach_(rail)

"Coaching stock and individual multiple unit cars are allocated five-digit numbers; since the early 1980s, it has been forbidden for them to have the same numbers as locomotives, but before then duplication was possible because they carried a prefix letter, which was considered part of the number. More recent EMU deliveries have six-figure coach numbers."

An interesting afternoon's read.

all the DEMU motor coaches had to have their numbers increased by 100 as they were numbered 60000 onwards and would clash with the new class 60’s, so it didn’t help them having the S prefix

Just had a note from Rails to say the 56's have been dispatched. If Parcel Force are on the ball I should have mine tomorow!

Hopefully yours will be with you by the end of the week

I cancelled my pre order with them. Still hadn’t done anything since my phone call. Won’t be using them again for a pre order. Kernow were spot on

New arrival on HG. I am impressed. Nameplates and transfers in the post. Just got to wait for the sound chip

They seem to have sorted out the shape concerns that were widely discussed from the early images. They've had a lot of flack for not doing so in the past so credit where it is due!

it looks about right to me, just need to round off the lower corners of the cab roof. Slightly too sharp I think, but other than that, after the disappointment of the 47, this is spot on. Now if only a Romanian should appear…..

I have bought a few things from them in the past and they were always very good. I have hitherto used Hattons who I have no issues with and you can pre-order and cancel on line without calling them.

Your construction livery 56 looks impressive. Mine came yesteday but I havent had them out of the box yet.

It is close enough and it captures the character well. I have the 4mm Romanian 56 on order from Cavalex.
