RMweb Gold BoD Posted September 25, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 25, 2018 Definitely come of the medication. If your avatar is anything to go by you it is starting to make you resemble an axle box.

Zomboid
Nonsense. It's clearly an 09. You'd never achieve orbit at 15mph.
RMweb Premium MJI Posted September 27, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 27, 2018 Anyone else a bit worried about the complete change? RTD to Moffat went well as Moffat can write brilliantly, but this new chap, I think all he has done is a few episodes of Torchwood. Will anything be as good as Blink or Heaven Sent? I can see what you mean - a fleeting glimpse of the shape of the front, and I did a double-take.
Nick Gough
Nonsense. It's clearly an 09. You'd never achieve orbit at 15mph. All they have to do is "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow".

He;s done a bit more than that outside of Dr Who, and he did write at least a couple of episodes for Dr Who under Moffat. IMO Moffat stayed too long. 009 micro modeller
Nonsense. It's clearly an 09. You'd never achieve orbit at 15mph. Do spaceships have to have high level brake pipes as well?
34theletterbetweenB&D
Do spaceships have to have high level brake pipes as well? Definitely. And a well padded seat and hotplate in the cab, among other useful bits of kit. It's just a vehicle after all.

RMweb Premium MJI Posted October 7, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2018 Well I have seen it and. It is OK so far. Nothing wrong with any actors or actresses. But feels more like a crime drama than DW. A few funny moments, but one was so obvious. But Gatwick Express in the north, very odd. Interesting techique to make it easier to compress, a free 10% on the broadcast bandwidth. The black bars. Would compare to an average RTD/SM era episode, no pavement monster but definately no Blink
RMweb Gold Barry Ten Posted October 7, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 7, 2018 The episodes where the Doctor regenerates tend to be a bit more low-key in the monster stakes than regular episodes, because there needs to be space for the Doctor's character to be established (even as it's changing). Added to that, they had a completely new cast of companions to introduce. I thought it was terrific on all counts, and I had to wipe a tear from my eye when the (fantastic) new version of the music kicked in.
