DonB
About a dozen NGRS members visited N G farm railway at Nocton. Not sure of the actual date in 1954/5. My photos are uploaded in my Gallery here on RMweb, Another member's shots taken the same day are at http://www.davesrail...ton/nocton2.htm 13

Ruston
Oakwood Press did a book in their Locomotion Papers series called Lincolnshire Potato Railways. I've always thought that such a railway would be a great subject for a model.

Dalesmatt
Good idea for a model... hemce the Nocton Estates wagons from Bachmann I guess! The Lincolnshire Potato Railways book was reissued by Oakwood Press a few years back, I got one fir an interesting browse. My colleagues voted it dullest book title. Hando
There were steam locomotives on the Nocton Line, including Fowler "Wildflower" and some surplus former War Deparment Light Railways Stock. Here is a picture:Wildflower is the locomotive above:
HonestTom
I love these little railways - I actually produced a box file layout inspired by them. The topic on it is here.
