Chrisjh
I am running a rake of 22 EWS TEA wagons which are fantastic wagons, the only problem I find is that they decouple very easily for some reason. I have tried different running speeds, different track radius curves, I have changed the running order for the wagons and mixed the rake, and they don't seem to uncouple at the same point on the track different places at different times. Greatly appreciate any thoughts or ideas? Best, Chris PS Just gone back into 2mm
jpendle
It's been a while but I seem to recall that there is a metal clip under the bogie, if it isn't lying flat then the coupling droops. The metal clip can be carefully pushed into place so that it is flat and that should fix the problem. I have 18 and they don't uncouple any more. If all else fails a drop of Aircraft canopy glue or Tacky Wax will make a semi permanent bond to keep couplings together. Regards, John P

RMweb Premium njee20 Posted July 19, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 19, 2019 Yeah, Tacky Wax on the couplers. I think I’ve had to do a couple of mine too. Alternatively the Dapol dummy knuckle couplers are less prone to uncoupling.
