Pierluk
Hello everyone, Has anyone ever built a layout like this one (just scroll down a little): "Shortover Yard — a Seriously Compact Layout!" Shortover Yard — a Seriously Compact Layout! Shortover Yard The dimensions of my own version of this small (micro ?) layout could be: 60cm x 18cm All your advices and comments are welcome. Thanks. RMweb Gold john new Posted October 17, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 17, 2019 (edited) Sort of, my own version was a slight cheat I added a point and the siding numbers differ. I’ve seen them done in photos posted on line. Look for Simplicity Sidings on the GN15 forum for one good example. Mine has been untouched for a longtime now, I wasn’t satisfied with my workmanship on it. As a loco TMD layout it was Ok. Whether or not anyone else has built a version, I wouldn't know. 60cm x 18cm? That'll be N Gauge, then?

Could I trouble you to publish a track plan for Port Byhan please. I assume it’s two box files & a traverser but it should fit into my favoured Really Useful Box at 28x8”. Thanks.
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 18, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2019 It's actually just two short sidings on-scene and a Peco loco lift off-scene - nothing more complicated than that. The boxfiles are held together with magnetic handbag catches - a ring magnet on one side and a steel boss on the other.
Pierluk
I drawn a new track plan. The baseboard is a little bit longer (80cm) than the first project.
