JZ
Always kept meaning to take a decent camera to work to get some night-time shots of the station. Finally remembered last week. I will try to get some more this week as I have a number of turn that finish not too late. Her are the results so far. Taken around 20:00, it is a rather quiet time at the station. It will be busier when I do it this week, between 22:00 and 23:00, as many services terminate at around that time. I might also try some different effects next time. RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted October 5, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 5, 2009 Hi Julian, Great pics! But why didn't you put them in the Gallery here, instead of on ImageShack? Then I could get at the full-size original to use as my desktop theme this week! regards, Martin.

owentherail
I Miss all the mail vans in middle line, seems lacking in trains let alone loco's, not the station it use to be, night pics always looks good. :icon_thumbsup2: owen

RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted December 3, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 3, 2009 Excellent evocative stuff - as are your S&D shots in daylight. Night photography like this always seems to hint at the imminence of a train arriving - the station is "resting" between trains. More please!
RMweb Gold Trevellan Posted December 6, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 6, 2009 I don't wish to hijack Julian's topic, but I came across this while researching images for other threads. This one dates from November 1973 and was an unplanned night shoot due to my mate's car breaking down near Bridgewater! This was taken at about 2am and it was flippin' cold. Hope you like it.
