I spotted this on eBay about a year ago.  Not too expensive but in need of some tlc.

The paint job isn’t too bad but the interiors and underframes need a bit of work.  Luckily I have plenty of spares from previous builds of Ian’s LNER coach kits.

The challenge is to complete this today as a bit of light relief from building MTK products.

Cheers

There was a discussion on the white windows on Tony Wright's thread last week after I showed photos of an LNER one I did.  The conclusion was that by Nationalisation the corridor windows in the kitchen car would be white as far up as the toplights.  The handrails should be chrome in a catering car, but it's moot if the windows are white.

What else are you planning to do to it?

The plan is to tidy up the underframes and interiors, re- spray the roofs, paint the (as yet unpainted) chassis parts black, touch up the exterior paintwork, add offset corridor connectors to the kitchen car and paint the corridor windows white in the kitchen car.  Then some light weathering.

Not fussy about it being totally correct - just want to improve it from its as-bought/built condition.

Cheers
