willfrith
I Have just purchased the T9 LSWR. The green seems very bright /lurid. I know there are various LSWR greens but does anyone know if this green is correct? Thanks

bike2steam
I wonder how many will get caught out, and think it is genuine LSWR, this is how it looked( although this pic is a 'wide-cab') until 1927 when it was rebuilt with a super-heated boiler. willfrith
Thanks very much guys, much appreciated. I think I understand now that the livery was a BR version of the early LSWR livery. Still like the loco!
Steamport Southport
Couple of photos of it's luridness here. https://preservedbritishsteamlocomotives.com/30120-lswr-120-sr-e120-sr-120-br-30120/ Just need someone to make a Caley Single for it to push around for a 1960s railtour. However like City Of Truro it was still used on occasional "normal" trains. Jason
willfrith
Jason Many thanks I know a lot more about the loco now and will happily run it in its bright livery on the heritage part of my layout although i might give it a light weathering one day Will
