brossard
Enterprising of you to search your library James. I was just at my friends place and was looking at his "A History of GWR Wagons" Vol 2. https://www.abebooks.com/9780715372906/History-Great-Western-Railway-Goods-0715372904/plp There are several pictures of the van and a nice line drawing of it too. Trying to convince him to buy the CRT kit so I can build it. John Edited September 5, 2021 by brossard

You need both volumes to interpret diagrams, numbers and building details. Paul
Wizard of the Moor
As an addendum to my list of photos above, there is an undated shot on Facebook that shows one of these vans in the MoD storage sidings on Salisbury Plain, in the company of several other 'Blue Spot' vans. Wizard of the Moor
Another lovely pic has just come up on Facebook of BRCW Type 2 D5360 in the fish quay sidings at Mallaig on 23.4.1964 with an INSIXFISH as the fourth wagon in the train. The photo is by Keith Long. Very interesting to me, as it's the first confirmed sighting I have of one of these vans on the West Highland.
watfordtmc
A further spot, though not useful for modelling, in the October BackTrack. The image, of a northbound freight ‘…near Dillicar…’ (ie: WCML) and taken at the usual oblique angle, shows a vehicle which clearly has a roof mounted walkway, as well as couple of stepboards visible along the chassis, so I’m comfortable that this is an S13. The image is dated 15/05/1962. I don’t think the West Coast has been identified as a location for S13’s so far, and I cannot say if this is a vehicle being transferred to the Scottish Region or one that already in service with ScR and being returned empty for reloading. Either way though, it seemingly gives a further area of operation. Reference BackTrack October 2021, Vol. 35, No. 366, page 572.
