Not been abandoned, just been busy with other things.

 

Electrical testing etc all complete and started some scenic works. 

 

Mock up of the motorway position in card to get the templates for the plywood formers.

 

 

Base layer down for the concrete apron and first  fix steelwork for the Weyland plant to check dimensions.

I said it was going to be Zona Industrial rather than Heidi Land - no idea what they make in there but I am sure they have the correct permits.

Bit of an update on progress.

 

The lift out scenic section with the motorway is coming along. One embankment has been completed with scrub and a cycle path running beside it with a crossing over the track.

 

 

Central reservation has been completed, the other embankment will be next.

 

 

Along at the chemical plant, security fencing has been added round the compound.

So the motorway lift out section is virtually complete and has developed to be quite a nice little diorama on its own. Need to make a few more vehicles and still some vegetation to complete on the opposite embankment.

Making progress now on the other side of the motorway, builders supply merchant, some caravan storage tucked between the chemical works and the motorway. Autumnal trees going in and the hotel will be next on the agenda.

I love the sculpture placed to seemingly compensate for the limited views! And there's an old RhB coach - what more does one want?

Hotel pretty well complete now, borrowed a backscene and some of my 3d printed stock just make it look more interesting.

 

 

 

The band from The Grand Hotel just up the road in Neuburg got the gig to play at this wedding. Bride and Groom just arriving.

Too much going on over the past month to do much modelling but -  station and timber area developed, new 3d printed logging truck added and guests for the wedding added as Santa brought a population explosion!

 

 

 

The main station buildings do follow the Zone Industrial rather than Heidiland style -

Too cold in the workshop to progress some printing projects so I have continued other tasks. 

 

Got the chemical works lighting sorted - happy with that having played with resistors. As its quite fragile, I have arranged it to be removable for the baseboard and wired the lighting to to 2 micro magnets. On the baseboard the feeds are wire loops and when you put the plant down the magnets pick up the feeds and power it up.

 

 

Next turned to the level crossing behind the station. Happy with progress, some fine tuning to do and then a paint job. Frame and mechanism is fabricated brass, operated by a servo under the baseboard, barrier is plasticard.
