I have always liked how you've managed to make this series of layouts look busy, without being overpopulated.

Thanks Rob - I have to discipline myself.  For example if I buy a new figure (mainly Modelu) I try to get rid of one of my older but cruder white metal figures.  I try the same one in one out approach with locos and rolling stock (but with much less success)🙄

The entrance to the coaling siding at the back of the layout, and my faithful grounded coach body.

In other news I am scratch building a new larger (but simple) coaling stage from bits and pieces found in my "box of hope" (so named because I hope I will use some of the odds and sods bits and pieces I have salvaged/collected over the years.)  At least I have finally used the wooden coffee stirrers I had been saving for a rainy day.🥳

I'm still impressed with how quickly this layout has come together without looking like the layouts that are put together quickly.

Most impressive sir.

Thanks Rob - all helped by buildings, small details  etc I was able to re-use from Dewchurch 2.  (which in turn re used some details from Dewchurch 1, which in turn re-used some details from the previous two layouts).  Jeez doesn't time fly 😲

It is funny - but I now find myself tinkering with the bits of the layout I have already built rather than pressing on with adding scenery, details etc  - to the remaining boards.  This is possibly because:

a) I'm lazy😴

b) I'm out of inspiration i.e. I'm not too sure what I want the remaining boards to look like (other than very rural countryside). Where as the parts of the layout already built were always going to be a very close copy of Dewchurch 2, so no real creative decision making involved.🤔

c)   Gardening, other hobbies and socialising are also in full swing - so less time available for the layout.  I try to do a bit on it most days, to keep the mojo going. 😟

Plus I've started running trains - and inevitably still have to fix the odd snag.  😣

Some photos of turntable area.  Bit of a conference going on outside the shed offices.  Looks like an inspector is in discussion with a loco crew.  Well at least the fireman seems to be listening.

Some night time views of Currans (never seems to be much work going on there), and rear of loco yard.  I think I've installed approx 30 lights on various parts of the layout.  I'll add platform lights to Harewood Halt (once I've built it), and I think that is it for lighting.

All looking very good.

Lights, plural. . . . One on each platform ??

Thanks  John - actually two on each platform - so four in total.  Still a few months away at my current rate of progress.
