MartinTrucks
Hattons have a few of this version in stock too https://www.hattons.co.uk/677071/dapol_2s_013_007_class_9f_2_10_0_92051_in_br_black_with_early_emblem/stockdetail - same price, but Rails (and Derails when the time comes) offer free P&P. Hattons also have The Pines Express set in stock: https://www.hattons.co.uk/677077/dapol_2s_013_010_the_pines_express_train_pack_with_class_9f_2_10_0_92220_evening_star_in_br_green/stockdetail Martin Edited January 25, 2022 by MartinTrucks

SandHutton
Noticed that the wheel rims are much thicker than before and definitely are look worse than the fine wheels on previous releases. Lets hope they update the chassis at some point
rogerdee
Well mine is not a brilliant runner out of the box doesn't like a couple of large crossovers or points and the pony truck doesn't like to follow the track.

There seems to be some confusion about whether it now has a heavy chassis as described in the blurb or indeed still has the plastic one. It also says the wheels are cast. There are now traction tyres. Ian.
rogerdee
The chassis is metal and it has 4 traction tyres. I think I solved the stalling problem on points one of the stupid little wires to the tender was not attached but not visibley showing.

Have you checked the back to back measurement? I've found that even the smallest piece of glued ballast remaining on point blades can cause problems in N gauge. meatloaf
I notice the box now says minimum radius is 1st radius curves? Is that right?
rogerdee
That's what it says but I think you will need perfect track laying.
Stefen1988
Why is Dapol offering every 9F with GWR/WR weight restriction markings, even when those Locomotives were never operated in the WR of BR or had them in reality?
RMweb Premium Crepello Posted September 9, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 9, 2022 Maybe it’s a mass-production issue and it’s cheaper to leave them on.
