nebnoswal
While I know 8F's were allocated to Bath in the early 1960's, I've read some 8F's were trialed on the S&DJR prior to WW2 and that some were briefly allocated to Bath shed during 1940-41. Would anybody here know what numbered loco's they were?

GRC
I have this list in my record but apart from the references 7 and 10 in 1965 I'm unable to validate any of the others. They came from SDJR.net but the site has long since dissapeared and I.m not sure who owned it, Tim Chapman and Geoff Bean were credited in supporting the work of the authors. Steamport Southport
Have a look here. https://shedbashuk.blogspot.com/2015/09/bath-green-park-1934-1966.html Surprised at how many of those are "foreign" built (mostly Swindon, LNER or SR). I wonder whether it was a way to get rid of them? I understand a lot of wartime built ones were built with poorer quality steel. Jason
