Modelling the Modern Image

An interesting discussion there gents (and ladies). My view is that "Modern Image" is definitely a 1960s term and ought to cover the period from when Cyril or whoever coined it to the start of the corporate blue and grey, the late 1970s maybe with the start of the HSTs, the end of the short wheelbase 4-wheel goods wagons and brake vans.

 

An odd example of "modern image" someone above mentioned would be one of the picture of the South Eastern Javelin train at Hastings under a newly-installed semaphore signal!
