Guest Phil
Just adding my best wishes too Larry. The way to look at is this - you are now on the scope of your heart specialists. They will be keeping an eye on you from now on and doing their best for you. My dad had a bad turn (heart restarted by Paramedics and at Bangor hospital). He was transferred to Broad Green (Liverpool) and fitted with an ICD in his shoulder and is now home. The guys in Broad Green can now monitor him via the phone line by dialling into a gizmo on his bedside cabinet, even while he's asleep. That's impressive healthcare in my book. Best wishes mate and keep in touch with us, coz we do care about you. Mind you, while you are taking it easy you can't arf knock out a few paint jobs !!!!! Bob Reid
Keep your sunny side up Larry and just remember "a new lifestyle" isn't a sudden penchant for modelling GWR coaching stock
SRman
Oh NOOOOOO! Coach is going GWR????? Ducks behind garden shed and waits for rumour mill to kick into high gear ...

RMweb Gold Taz Posted June 28, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2010 And what's wrong with the GWR? All the best Coach. Hope you have a speedy recovery. RMWeb isn't the same without you.
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted June 28, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2010 He's not been that ill. I resemble that remark Knocking up a nice little batch of Collett non gangwayed stock would do him the world of good, especially if it's in BR livery. PS That would no doubt be after he's finished his next layout - will that be even quicker now Larry?
coachmann
You've provided me with quite a (painfull) chuckle this a.m. Someone mentioned the leg, so yes the removal an artery to provide material for byepass pipes (superheater-header!) is siginificant. To Old Knotty, I'm really glad you are recovering well. Senakot and syrup rings a few bells! GWR coaching stock? When it comes to coaches I am apolitical as I love em all. A very close friend gave me three books to read in hospital. I was so absorbed by 'Enginemen Elite' written by Norman McKillop ('Toram Beg') that ive treated myself to a Gresley A3! I can feel a Peppercorn A1 coming on too...

Guest Max Stafford
Good to have back on here Larry. "Senakot and syrup rings a few bells!" Not too much or 'rings a few bells might be more appropriate the other way round...! All the best. Dave.
oldknotty
Hey coach Glad to hear you are up and about already I am well on the way back to the old self here . I will say that if you can find a comfy way to sleep please let me know !! I have tried sitting leaning , propping up on pillows and such but no luck yet :-) Also don't be like I was when I first came home . They gave me pain pills and I thought I could do without them being a tough guy !!! WRONG !!!!! take them they help considerably in the healing process mate !!!! My problem is the lack of patience i want to get back to normal too quick but my wife has laid the law down so that is not happening :-) It has not been as bad as i though it was going to be or maybe it is just me !!!! I just hate the sitting about all day and am bored with telly !! It is Africa here so outside is not an option for me I sit in the window with the cats looking out my wife thinks it is hliarious :-) Three heads all following the action :-) only I am tailless !!!! I hope all goes well for you if you have any questions or such please feel free to ask i am abit ahead of you so have made all the mistakes :-) Keep a big pillow or a big teddy close at hand to hold up on your chest if you have to cough or sneeze helps tremendously :-)) all the best martin
