RonnieS
Good Morning Readers Can anybody help with Conflat L Container Colour? I am not sure if the 3 containers on these wagons were painted grey or if they were a silvery metal colour. All the colour photographs I have seen are so dirty that its hard to be sure. hmrspaul
Never thought of them as anything other than freight stock grey. Not mentioned in the BR paint instructions I've seen. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/conflatl Paul
Mark Saunders
Triang molded them in pale grey and on a whole they got liveries reasonably correct! 1
Michael Hodgson
I think in practice the colour was weathered rust, as per Paul's excellent site; perhaps accompanied by a dusting from spillage in loading.
Mark Saunders
There were two at Cemetery North in the 1980’s and I don’t recall them being rusty even though sat next to the North Sea for several years!
