RMweb Gold Popular Post kipford Posted February 22, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 22, 2023 I was lucky today to see these Iain Rice original water colours of a couple of his layout designs. The owner has kindly agreed for me to post these for you all to see. 51 1

Designs completed old school, without the use of a computor layout design package!

RMweb Premium RichardT Posted February 22, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 22, 2023 I’m very jealous of the owner. Would love to have one of Iain Rice’s watercolours of one of his US small layout concepts to frame and hang in the hallway. RichardT 1

Nice to see them treated as art and enjoyed 😀 I think I’d pop them low down by an armchair so I could sit and contemplate at length. 1
RMweb Gold Popular Post Not Jeremy Posted February 22, 2023 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted February 22, 2023 (edited) I am lucky enough to have some of Iain's material, which I hope to share through future Wild Swan publications. Amongst which was an unlabelled piece of artwork done for one of his Kalmbach projects, I would think. It definitely has the touch of a "cameo" to it. With much the same thoughts as expressed on this thread I have just recently had it mounted and framed so that I can hang it on the wall to both remind me of Iain and encourage me to do something creative with the time I have left to me. Sorry, that sounds a bit more morbid than it needs to be! Jerry and I hope to have a curated display of Iain's models at Larkrail on the 15th July, I will be happy to bring it along to the show if people would like to see it. Yes please, I was delighted by his sketches at the last one so would love to see it close up. 35 minutes ago, Not Jeremy said: and encourage me to do something creative with the time I have left to me. Get sticking those chairs on! 😉 5
RMweb Gold Not Jeremy Posted February 22, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 22, 2023 Well, actually (and unusually) I have done rather more than just sticking chairs on; It is now a functioning piece of trackwork down by the water's edge.... 6
