Try a few tests for yourself Bryan from your printer. Without knowing the available dimensions and how long the name is, for instance, no-one can really give you a good answer.

If you have the rulers showing in Word that will give you a rough Idea of the size. You can also insert a text box at the size of the space you have for the sign writing, And centre the text both vertically and horizontally. Note almost all shop names are in ALL CAPITALS.

Further to this suggestion, if you create a table in Word with the cells being the width and height of your sign, you can play around with how it looks. Just print it actual size. 
 

I create output like this with multiple rows/columns in one print to try different looks.
