Tony Reynalds

I've just learned of the passing of Tony. For those unaware, Tony is the builder of some of the finest model locomotives ever built.

RIP Tony.

Very sad news. Tony's models were truly inspirational and every time one appeared in MRJ, I would spend a long time just drinking in the superb workmanship.

 

I have visited the home of somebody who has some of his models and up close, they looked even better than in the photos.

 

How sad that there won't be any more.

Sad to hear that. I spoke with him a few times at the Bristol O gauge show and he always had time to speak to people regardless of their modelling abilities. His models will be a living testimony to his brilliance along with the likes of Beeson.

It's something many got wrong, I wonder if any of his customers who got it wrong, Tony made a deliberate error in their model?

Seriously, the Railway Modeller & MRC, often got his name wrong and I've seen his name as Reynaulds.

Very sad news. I once saw Tony when he had a demonstration stand at Telford some years ago, he was an inspiration and clearly a great craftsman.

Sad news indeed. His exceptional work was a great inspiration. 

He deserves to be honored by a  very heavy book dedictated to his work.
